Then we quickly move on to the principal plot, a classic "Marvel Misunderstanding." Cap and Tony get in a rumble because the Chameleon has tricked Tony into thinking his friend has been replaced by an impostor. Fortunately, this confusion eventually gets sorted out:
All's well that ends well, right? But Tony's response to the whole affair is actually extremely revealing:
I don't think this incident was Tony's fault. But that's not going to stop Tony from berating himself over his supposed carelessness. As I've observed routinely in many contexts, my son is quite self-critical -- at times to an excessive degree.
And let's add a bonus panel of junior high sex just for the fun of it. Here, Pepper makes fun of Happy's terrible fashion sense:
