Tales of Suspense #60 picks up where #59 left off: Tony is a prisoner in his own armor. And in this issue, things become even more difficult for our tragic Golden Avenger.

First, his close friends continue to suspect him of foul play -- and there's nothing he can do to allay their fears or thank them for their loyalty.

Then, even more inconveniently, Happy gets the police involved, which forces Tony to flee. This separates him from both his friends and his resources.

Then his teammates start to suspect him too! Ouch, that has to hurt. Tony is utterly alone.

Then Pepper is taken hostage -- and Tony has to risk capture to rescue her. Will the hits ever stop?

(By the way, note that Hawkeye entered the universe as a love-lorn villain. But he'll be joining the side of the angels soon enough!)

Then, at the resolution of the issue, Tony can't even tell Pepper he's been in the armor all along. Oh, the sorrow! Oh, the Silver Age melodrama! Oh, my poor Tony!
