Er. So yeah: Tony's not an impeccable practitioner of monogamy -- and obviously, as a Christian, I don't approve. But I think modern writers make a mistake when they take this as proof that Tony, in his early days, was some sort of sexist who used and discarded women like they were trash. First of all, that reading completely ignores how absolutely smitten Tony has been with Pepper since her first appearance. And secondly, the girls seem to be aware of each other here -- and none are clearly upset that Tony's seeing all of them at the same time.

I love Sitwell's offended reaction though. That just makes me laugh out loud. (ToS #98)
