This highlights another excellent reason why Tony Stark appeals to me so much as a comic book character: he is the God emperor of self-doubt, fear, and agony. It's just not an Iron Man comic unless there's at least one panel in which our hero is brooding over something he feels he's screwed up -- or his (self-imposed) loneliness.
