Iron Man #25 is a more explicitly political comic in which Tony plays the role of responsible industrialist and old-style conservationist. And honestly, I don't see much to disagree with here. This is a very accessible, very liberal message counseling proper stewardship of our planet - one that was quite salient in the 1970's when pollution actually was a serious issue affecting human health. It bears little resemblance to the radical politics that is often pushed by creators today.
Comics have always been political? Yes and no.
