My favorite page in A:TO #3. Steve says here what Patsy should've said to Tony in his own book when he started to express his outsized guilt complex there. Tony doesn't hide things - or insist that his teammates wait for him before launching a major fight - because he's arrogant, actually. He does it because he's an over-protective papa bear who thinks he can (as he says here) prevent tragedy through the sheer force of his inventiveness and intellect. This is a kind of pride, but it's very different from the "I'm the best" showboating Cantwell seems to think is Tony's principal flaw.
