This is another early scene in Demon in a Bottle that's quite revealing. Here, we see that Iron Man is an escape for Tony. Helping people, in ways large and small, is his preferred means of relaxation -- which says something very, very positive about his fundamental character. 

Another reason why this scene is more important than it first appears: in the final issue, when Tony's drinking is officially out of his control, we get a parallel scene in which he tries this very same method of stress relief -- only to bugger it all and endanger the people around him. And yes: I'll be sharing those captures some time in the next week.
